👋
I'm a marketing nerd obsessed with all things small business.
I'm Eden.

Maybe you're wondering
how I ended up here.
Ya know, on the internet talking about marketing for a living.
Truth is, marketing has always been my thing.

In the early 2000s, there was an internet game where you tried to identify company logos. I saw it for the first time at a friend's house, and I was freakishly good at it. This was the tiniest spark and at the time, I didn't even know it.

Fast forward to high school, I signed up for Art, but got put in Marketing instead. After that first class, I then took every single marketing class my high school offered. I was hooked.

My first job in high school was working for a local pottery store, then I moved on to a boutique in college, and then my first "real job" out of college was an executive assistant position at a reclaimed wood company. And at all of them, I weaseled my way into doing the marketing. And my bosses let me do it, because well, I was good at it.

When I left my real job (read: financial stability) to pursue entrepreneurship, my newly
ex-employer became my first client.

I was so eager to get a job right out of college that I didn't even take the time to consider that maybe I didn't want to work for someone else.

My husband was working as an engineer at the time, and his work took him all over. I really wanted the flexibility of being able to pick up and go wherever he went, so I put in my notice and set out to build my own marketing business.

I remember being SO stressed about putting in my notice. My eyes: teary, hands: shaky, stomach: in knots.

But not only did my boss take it well, he ended up being my first ever client. And from that connection, my business grew more than I ever thought it could in my first years.
